Employment Jeffery is currently working for Tapestry Health as one of their IT Managers. He also owns and operates PCGOTECH, LLC, a computer consulting business located in Connecticut that services clients in Fairfield and New Haven counties. Jeff creates and maintains websites for a large client base throughout the United States, including small businesses, private individuals, and non-profit organizations. Jeff attended Goodwin College, where he received a degree in computer science. After graduation, he continued his involvement with Goodwin College and became an instructor for classes such as Windows operating systems, network infrastructure, and upgrading/repairing computers and hardware.   Elected Town Services In addition to his full-time employment, Jeff dedicates many additional hours each week to volunteering for various groups. He was elected to the Board of Education in 2009 and has been re-elected three times, serving four-year terms in 2013, 2017, and 2021. Jeff is currently the Chair of the Board of Education. He has also served as the Chair of both the Buildings & Grounds Committee and the Technology Committee. Jeff has played a crucial role in advancing the town of Orange’s computer and network infrastructure to meet today’s IT demands. Additionally, he was a member of the Board of Education’s hiring committee for the school system’s first full-time IT Administrator. Jeff feels fortunate to be part of the Board of Education and is passionate about ensuring that each student receives a high-quality education and learning experience. CERT - Community Emergency Response Team Jeff is also an active member of the Orange, CT community, having joined CERT in September 2013. He completed the nine-week course and looks forward to assisting when needed if a local or regional disaster arises. Jeff has taken this course very seriously, as it has helped him personally plan and prepare himself and his family for disasters. Scouting Jeff is currently the Advancement Chair for Troop 12 Boy Scouts. He and his wife first became involved with scouting as the Tiger Cub Den Leaders for Cub Scout Pack 922 during the 2010-2011 school year. Jeff then became Cubmaster in 2011 and continues to work hard to revitalize scouting. Of course, he could not have accomplished this alone. Without the help and dedication of other parents, Pack 922 wouldn’t be the strong, fun, and educational pack that it is today. Jeff, along with the Pack families, continues to work on expanding the scouting program in areas where it was shrinking. Jeff has completed and earned his Wood Badge award, the highest-ranking adult leader training available through the Boy Scouts of America, for course N2-72-11-1. This course has taught Jeff many things and has helped him promote scouting both in and out of town. He believes scouting is very important for both youth and adult leaders. It has already been a very rewarding journey, and he looks forward to more scouting experiences and adventures in the future, as well as witnessing the advancement of Scouts from year to year. In 2013, Jeff was asked to join the N2-72-14 Wood Badge course as a Troop Guide to help train those attending the 2014 Wood Badge class. In 2016, he was asked to join the N2-72-16 Wood Badge course as a Scribe. In 2020, Jeff was asked to join the N2-72-20 Wood Badge course as ASM of Logistics; however, the course was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic that year. Hobbies Jeff has two hobbies he loves. One of them is HO scale model railroading. Due to a busy schedule, he currently does not have his model railroad set up, but he plans to do so in the near future. He continues to add to his collection and attends various model railroading shows in the area. Jeff’s other hobby is breeding and raising fancy show-quality and pure white racing homer pigeons. Sound interesting? It is! Believe it or not, back in the 1950s and 1960s, even the Boy Scouts of America had a merit badge for raising pigeons! Unfortunately, today’s scouting movement no longer includes this merit badge. However, there are still tens of thousands of pigeon breeders in the United States and even more worldwide. Jeff is a member of a local pigeon club (Faircount Pigeon Club), which meets once per month in Orange, CT, and he is involved with the hobby when time permits. Jeff has a world-renowned pigeon club patch collection, which can be found on his website. He also attends shows throughout the East Coast and has attended the NPA Grand National shows in Connecticut (2003), Pennsylvania (2009), and Florida (2012). He has bred and raised a few champion pigeons and admits that it isn’t easy. He enjoys working with show pigeons to learn about color genetics and the outcomes produced with different color pairings. Traveling Like many, Jeff loves traveling, and one of his favorite destinations is Florida. He holds an annual Disney World ticket, allowing access to all of the Disney World parks 365 days a year. Jeff is also a Disney DVC member. His favorite Disney park is Epcot, where he purchased a “Leave a Legacy” family photo that is displayed on one of the walls in the park’s entrance area. Every time he visits Epcot, he takes a few minutes to visit his family’s legacy photo, which faces Spaceship Earth, one of his top five favorite attractions at Disney World. Jeff’s #1 favorite Disney park attraction is the “Transit Authority,” now renamed back to “The People Mover.” Jeff visited Disneyland in California for the first time in January 2015, exploring both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure parks. Speaking of traveling, Jeff has visited many states within the US as a child. He has lived in Indiana, Illinois, Washington, New York, and Connecticut. Jeff has been on many road trips from Connecticut to Quebec, Canada, and has also visited other locations outside the US, such as Cozumel, Mexico; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and the Cayman Islands. 2024 Tapestry Heath -
